PRODUCTION COORDINATOR JOB VACANCY

Location: Nanyuki, Kenya (with potential for hybrid/remote arrangements) 

Contract Type: Freelance 6-month contract, 3 days a week, starting ASAP. 

Potential to increase to 5 days a week. We are looking for a Production Coordinator to manage our post-production workflow from raw footage through to final distribution. This role is essential to our production pipeline, ensuring smooth coordination between the production team, efficient file management, and timely delivery to our clients. This role would be ideal for someone with excellent management and technical skills. 

We are building a family of creatives at Stand Up for Nature (standupfornature.org). Our core goal is to support creatives, conservation and communities. We are looking for people who share our dream and have the same passion for building a wildlife film industry in Kenya.

Responsibilities: 

• Team Coordination & Management: Oversee team, schedule and long-term plan. 

• Post-Production Project Management: Set up and maintain DaVinci Resolve projects, coordinate workflow, and manage team assignments. 

• Metadata & Digital Asset Management: Oversee the generation of metadata, maintain databases, and ensure quality control across all digital assets. 

• Manage Content Distribution: Manage output and deliverables to clients. 

• Assistant Support: Provide administrative and project support to the Project Lead (Jamie) throughout the production process. 

• Flexible Editing Support: Assist with basic editing tasks during high-demand periods when additional capacity is needed.

Required Skills & Experience: 

• 2+ years’ experience in a similar role 

• Proficiency in DaVinci Resolve • Experience with cloud storage platforms (Google Drive, Dropbox) 

• Proficiency in Excel for metadata management 

• Willingness to learn new software and technical processes. 

• Understanding of post-production workflows and file management 

• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills 

• Strong communication skills for team coordination 

• Ability to work with multiple deadlines and projects simultaneously 

• Problem-solving skills for technical workflow issues 

Pay: 

Competitive salary - 3 day week: KES 60,000 to 72,000 per month. – depending on experience Potential to move to 5 days per week subject to demand: KES 100,000 - 120,000 per month.
